Stylist Archive Rentals – Rental Agreement

This Rental Agreement applies to all garments rented through Stylist Archive Rentals. By placing a booking and making payment, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

CONTRACT

By submitting a booking with Stylist Archive Rentals, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with Stylist Archive Rentals. You acknowledge that this agreement outlines the rights and responsibilities of both parties, and that the garment(s) remain the property of Stylist Archive Rentals at all times.

PAYMENT

Payment must be made in full via bank transfer before any booking is confirmed. We do not offer holds or partial payment options.

By entering this agreement, you authorise Stylist Archive Rentals to issue invoices and charge for any additional fees, including but not limited to: late returns, garment damage or loss. If payment for additional fees is not made within 5 business days, we reserve the right to take further action, which may include debt collection services. Any associated costs will be passed on to the customer. If a payment is reversed, rejected, or disputed, the booking will be cancelled immediately. If the item(s) have already been dispatched, the customer remains liable for the full rental amount.

HOLD POLICY

Garments are not held or reserved without full payment of the rental fee. Enquiries or try-on appointments do not guarantee availability for a future date. Availability is confirmed on a first-paid basis.


If you enquire about a date or book a try-on, please note the garment may still be rented out to another customer unless payment has been made to secure the booking.

IDENTIFICATION

We reserve the right to request a valid form of identification (driver’s license or passport) at any time. Failure to provide suitable ID upon request may result in the cancellation of your booking, with no refund.

TITLE TO RENTAL ITEMS

All garments are and remain the exclusive property of Stylist Archive Rentals. No ownership rights are transferred under any circumstances. Garments must not be altered, modified, or cleaned by the customer.

Any attempt to alter, clean, or repair a garment may result in the forfeiture of the bond and/or charges of up to 200% of the RRP.

BOOKING PERIOD

All bookings are for a two-day hire period unless otherwise agreed. Shipping, pickup and return dates are not included in the rental period.

For example, if you select a garment for an event on Saturday, the two-day rental period applies to Saturday and Sunday. The garment must be returned over the counter at Australia Post by 4 PM on Monday (the next business day). Please ensure you provide the tracking information and it is expressed shipped back to the postal address details provided.

DELIVERY

All garments are shipped via Express Post and are scheduled to arrive on or before your selected delivery date.

You will receive a tracking number once the parcel has been dispatched. If you have not received tracking information by one day prior to your scheduled delivery, contact us Immediately. If you fail to collect or are unavailable for delivery, no refund or credit will be provided. If delivery is unsuccessful due to an incorrect or incomplete address, you will not be entitled to a refund or credit. You are responsible for providing a safe and accurate delivery location.

INCORRECT OR FAULTY ITEMS

If you receive an incorrect item or one with noticeable damage, notify us within 24 hours.

If you plan to wear the garment despite minor issues, notify us within the same timeframe. If damage is reported late or after use, refunds or credits will not be issued.

FIT & APPEARANCE ISSUES

We do not offer refunds for garments that do not fit or suit you. However, store credit may be issued if the garment is returned within 24 hours, unworn and via over-the-counter post.

Cancellations by Customer

If you wish to cancel your booking, the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellations made 10 or more days prior to the scheduled collection or dispatch date will be eligible for a partial refund of the rental fee, less a $50 cancellation fee. The bond will be refunded in full.

  • Cancellations made with less than 10 days notice are not eligible for a refund of the rental fee. The bond will still be refunded if the garment has not yet been collected or dispatched.

No cancellations are accepted once the garment has been picked up or shipped.

CANCELLATIONS BY STYLIST ARCHIVE RENTALS

We reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time. Reasons may include:

  • Garment damage or loss from a previous customer

  • Inability to deliver on time

  • Identification not provided when requested

  • Unable to provide the full payment

  • In such cases, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

Returning Your Rental

Garments must be returned over the counter at an Australia Post location by 4 PM on the next business day following your event.

  • A return satchel is not provided. You are responsible for purchasing an Express Post satchel to return your garment.

  • You must retain and provide tracking details for your return. This protects you in the case of delays or issues with Australia Post.

  • Street postboxes are not permitted. If the return parcel is not scanned and is lost in transit, you will be held liable for up to the full RRP (Recommended Retail Price) of the garment.

Failure to follow the above return instructions may result in loss of bond or additional charges.

CLEANING

Cleaning is included in the rental fee. Do not attempt to clean, steam, iron, or spot-treat the garment.

Damage from fake tan, makeup, perfume, or unauthorised cleaning may result in fees up to the RRP(Recommended Retail Price).

DAMAGE OR LOSS

Notify us immediately if an item arrives damaged. Take photos and send them before wearing the garment.

You are liable for any damage that cannot be professionally repaired. If the garment is not returned or is deemed unwearable, you may be charged up to the RRP (Recommended Retail Price).

Do not attempt repairs, cleaning, or alterations. All garments must be returned regardless of condition.

LATE RETURN

Items returned after the return deadline will incur late fees of $15 per day. If a late return affects another customer’s booking, full bond forfeiture or additional charges may apply.

Any return scanned after 4 PM will be considered a late day. Continued delay may result in additional charges or cancellation of future rental eligibility.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Stylist Archive Rentals is not liable for any direct or indirect loss (emotional, financial, or otherwise) resulting from:

  • Late delivery

  • Booking cancellation

  • Incorrect fit

  • Minor garment imperfections

  • Event disruption

Compensation is strictly limited to the amount paid for the rental.

REFUND DEFINITION

A refund refers to the return of funds via the original payment method. If a store credit or bond was used, it will be returned in the same form.

Refunds will not be provided unless expressly stated in the conditions above.

CHANGES TO THIS AGREEMENT

Stylist Archive Rentals may update this Rental Agreement at any time. The version applicable to your booking will be the version in effect at the time your booking was placed.
